Beiwu Fm
Type Locality and Naming
North Zhejiang. The Beiwu Fm was named by the Party of Regional Geological Survey, Zhejiang Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources in 1990 and published by Bao Chaomin in 1994. The type section is at Zhangcun and Beiwucun Villages, Fuyang City, Zhejiang Province. Middle formation of the Shuangxiwu Gr.

Synonym: (北坞组)
Lithology and Thickness
The Beiwu Fm is composed mainly of schistose-altered dacitic pebbly vitroclastic tuff. The lower part is of andesitic brecciated tuff and tuffaceous siltstone. It is recorded as 433 m thick.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Bottom is not seen. It is in fault contact with Pingshui Fm
Upper contact
It is in conformable contact with overlying Yanshan Fm
Regional extent
North Zhejiang.
